Bennigan's Franchisees Exploring Possibility of Acquiring and Re-Opening Locations Affected By Parent Company's Chapter 7 Filing |
Bennigan's Franchising Company, L.P., the owners of Bennigan's Grill & Tavern franchises, are continuing operations uninterrupted and are undertaking a program to expand the number of franchisee-owned locations. This includes, but is not limited to, the purchase of formerly corporate-owned locations.
"We believe there is a tremendous amount of brand loyalty to Bennigan's around the country and across the world at hundreds of franchise owned-and-operated locations," said William Snyder of CRG Partners, a firm appointed by Bennigan's Franchising Company, L.P. to assist in the operational aspects of transitioning the franchise system from corporate ownership to the new franchise management company. "Our franchise locations will continue to offer the same high-quality dining experience we've promised our customers for decades, and we see continued opportunity for the expansion of our business as a franchise-focused operation."
Plans are currently being put in place for franchisees to purchase corporate-owned locations that were recently closed. Franchisees are also continuing to open new locations, including ones in Texas and Mexico in the next few weeks.
Bennigan's Franchising Company has recently made several key hires to help move the operations forward as a franchise-focused brand. Hires have been made in the areas of procurement, marketing, construction and other strategically important roles so franchisees will be fully supported as they continue to grow their businesses.
As stated in a previous release, the 132 domestic and international franchisee-owned Bennigan's Grill & Tavern locations remain open and fully operational.
